West Virginia University Director of Sustainability Clement Solomon will serve as interim director of Transportation and Parking. In addition, he will remain engaged with the WVU Sustainability Program.

Hugh Kierig, who has served as director of the WVU Department of Transportation and Parking for the last five years, will be taking a similar position at the University of Rochester. His last day is May 3.

Randy Hudak, associate vice president for Facilities and Services, praised Kierig for his service.

“I would like to thank Hugh for his dedication and the enhancements he has brought to the Transportation and Parking unit,” Hudak said. “He has been a catalyst to increase the department’s customer service level and department accountability.”

In addition, Hudak has appointed Facilities Planning Manager Kim Hartsell to interim assistant director of Parking Management. She will serve in both positions until the parking position can be filled permanently.
