The West Virginia University Parking Office will install a new management software in April, enabling the University community to manage parking services online.

The new system will “improve overall customer service, and improve efficiency within the department by integrating several services that are currently being done manually,” said Eric Rosie, assistant director of the Department of Transportation and Parking.

“In addition, a new enhanced parking website that is integrated with the MyAccess portal will be launched,” he said. “Students and employees will be able to manage their parking accounts by adding or removing vehicles to a permit, purchase student parking permits, pay citations online, appeal and view the status of all outstanding appealed citations.:

The timeline for the new Parking Management system is:

April 13th – The current parking office software application and the Parking website (http://parking.wvu.edu ) will no longer be active. While the website is inactive, citations can not be paid online. In order to pay any outstanding citations or purchase permits, please come to the parking office at Mountaineer Station, 1112 VanVoorhis Road.

April 21st – The new Parking website will go live. Students should access the website from the MIX portal by choosing the transportation link after logging in. For employee access, please log into MyAccess (http://myaccess.wvu.edu ) and click on the Transportation and Parking ribbon. For citizens that do not have a MASTERID, but wish to pay a citation for themselves or a student, a link directly from the Transportation website will exist.

For additional information on the changes to the parking management software system, please contact the Parking Management office at (304) 293-5502 or visit the website by going to http://transportation.wvu.edu.
