West Virginia University’s Safety and Extension Services is offering the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) class #510 “Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction.” It will be held in Charleston, W.Va., on August 3-6.

The four-day course is designed for employees in the private sector and covers OSHA policies, procedures and standards, and construction safety and health principles.

The course will provide training on the scope and application of OSHA construction standards with a special emphasis on the most hazardous areas.

Seating is limited and registration is required two weeks prior to the course start date. For priority registration, please sign up by Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Tuition is $750 a person.

Customized group training sessions are also available on a contractual basis for employers wishing to train their workforce.
