The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration class 510, “Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction,” is being offered by West Virginia University’s Safety and Health Extension Service in Weston from July 13-16.

The four-day course is designed for personnel in the private sector and covers OSHA policies, procedures and standards, as well as construction safety and health principles.

Scope and application of OSHA construction standards, with special emphasis placed on areas which are most hazardous, will be included in the training.

Seating is limited and preregistration is required two weeks prior to the course start date.

The priority registration deadline is Tuesday, June 29. Tuition per person is $750.

Customized group training sessions are also available on a contractual basis for employers wishing to train their workforce.
