For some 5,200 new West Virginia University students, Welcome Week 2016 brought many firsts.
The first time not living with mom and dad. The first time walking to a college class. The first time singing “Country Roads” with thousands of classmates.
Several firsts were heralded by Welcome Week events including Monday Night Lights, FallFest, FoodFest, Choose Your Adventure and local community service projects.
