The WVU Career Services Center is launching a new event this semester designed to connect employers with student leaders from campus organizations and professional societies.

The Reverse Career Fair will be held on February 17 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Vandalia Lounge in the Mountainlair immediately following the WVU Career and Internship Fair.

The roles will be reversed with employers lining up to meet with the leaders and members of the participating student organizations. This is a great chance for your student organization to showcase the qualities that make your members strong candidates: leadership, team-building, problem-solving, communication skills, etc. Employers will also be available to discuss ways that they can support and collaborate with various student organizations.

As an additional incentive to participate, one student group will win $250 to be used for official organization activities (e.g. apparel, conference registrations, etc.).

“It’s always exciting to provide a new way for students to network with employers,” said Rachael Conrad, employer relations specialist. “We are confident that the Reverse Career Fair will benefit all participating student groups and give individual students an advantage over the competition and greater access to decision makers within their target employers.”
