Further investigation has proven the vehicle theft reported earlier today to be unfounded.

The West Virginia University Police had been seeking any information on the theft of a white 1997 Buick Century from the second level of the Mountainlair Parking Garage during the hours of 8 p.m. on Feb. 4 and 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 5.
