Search committees have been appointed to seek candidates for the campus provost at Potomac State College and for the dean of the College of Human Resources and Education , West Virginia University Provost Michele Wheatly announced Friday (Oct. 7).

The PSC search committee will be chaired by Senior Associate Provost Russ Dean, who has served in various administrative positions in the Office of the Provost for 22 years.

The PSC faculty and staff leadership submitted names for consideration and members were selected from those nominated.

Those serving are faculty members Mohammad Saifi, Deanna Armentrout, Joan Vogtman and Jeff Jones. Senior Staff Beth Little and Harlan Shreve will serve along with staff member Diana Grady, Visiting Committee member Jennings Stickley and Student Body President Joshua Strachan.

The Human Resources and Education search committee was formed after seeking faculty and staff input and its makeup is representative of the college’s divisions and will include a student member and a member of the College Visiting Committee.

Dana Brooks, dean of the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, will chair the search committee and faculty members selected to serve include Reagan Curtis, Jeffrey Daniels, Linda Shuster, Robert Waterson, Ann Richards, Robert Orlikoff; also, administrative staff member Clifton Colebank, staff member Regina McGraw and a student member yet to be named. Priscilla Haden, a member of the college visiting committee, has agreed to serve.

Both search committees plan to have initial meetings later this month. The committees plan to complete their work early in the spring semester with the appointment of new administrators to each post by July 1, 2012.
