West Virginia University students and alumni will be among the thousands participating in the Big East Virtual Career Fair on Nov. 10.

The virtual career fair, announced by UBM Studios Unicruit, is being produced in conjunction with the Big East Career Consortium – a partnership of 16 college career centers of Big East conference schools. It will begin at 10 a.m. and is free of charge for college students and alumni. The event will be available on demand until Nov. 19.

“The technology that drives the Unicruit program is awesome,” said David Durham, director of the WVU Career Services Center. “WVU students will be among the first University students on the planet to be able to ‘virtually’ walk around a career fair, review job opportunities, drop off resumes and even enter an employer’s booth and speak face-to-face with a recruiter without leaving their apartment. While nothing will ever replace the effectiveness of a real face-to-face interview, this is about as close as you can get.”

More than 40 industry leading employers and government agencies will participate at the Big East Virtual Career Fair.
