Whether they are interested in learning how to cross-country ski or love the thrill of downhill skiing or snowboarding – West Virginia University’s Outdoor Recreation Center is offering two trips for faculty, staff, students and families.

On Saturday, Feb. 13, the center will take a trip to Herrington Manor in Maryland to hold a Cross-Country Ski Seminar for those who want to learn. The cost is $25 and includes ski rental.

On Saturday, Feb. 20, thrill seekers can take a trip to Canaan Valley for an all-day downhill ski/snowboard trip. The cost is $65 and includes transportation, instruction (ski only), life ticket and rental. For those who do not need to rent or receive instruction, the cost is $50.

“This is a great opportunity to get out and experience the adventure of skiing, snowboarding in West Virginia and surrounding areas,” said Brett Hagerty, program coordinator for WVU’s Outdoor Recreation Center.

To sign up for either trip, visit the WVU Outdoor Recreation Center on the first floor of the Student Recreation Center or call 304-293-2203.
