When a modern day musical theater addict plays his favorite cast album— a 1928 smash-hit called “The Drowsy Chaperone”— the show magically bursts to life. The audience is instantly immersed in the glamorous and hilarious tale of a celebrity bride and her uproarious wedding day. Filled with thrills and surprises, the show will take both the cast (literally) and the audience (metaphorically) soaring into the rafters.

The Drowsy Chaperone was a Broadway success, receiving more awards at the 2006 Tony Awards than any other show. With tons of laughs, the show speaks to anyone who has ever been transported by the theater. The musical now comes the the WVU Creative Arts Center on Wednesday, Jan. 13.
