The West Virginia University’s Personal Rapid Transit system (PRT) will not be in operation during the Thanksgiving holiday break.

With the exception of WVU Football service, the PRT will stop public operation on Friday, Nov. 20t at 10:15 p.m. and not resume until Monday, Nov. 30 at 6:30 a.m. This break time, when the University is not in session, allows the PRT to undertake minor repairs to the system that cannot be done during normal operating conditions.

For the Mountaineers football game with Pitt on Friday, Nov. 27, the PRT will begin operation at 3 p.m. and continue running until one hour after the game ends. The PRT is open to the public and the football service is free for all to ride.

For more information about the PRT and its closure call the WVU Transportation and Parking office at (304) 293-5502.
