Violist Shelly Tramposh, viola professor at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, will present a master class at WVU, Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Creative Arts Center.
The event will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 424A and is free and open to the public.
In addition, Tramposh and harpist Jessica Suchy-Pilalis, also of the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, will present a guest artist recital at the CAC, Sunday, Nov. 15, at 1 p.m. in the Bloch Learning and Performance Hall (200A). This concert is also free and open to the public. They will be joined by flutist Francesca Arnone of the WVU music faculty.
Tramposh performs in the Potsdam Piano Quartet and other ensembles. As a member of the Ariel Chamber Players, she recently completed a music residency in Tullamore and Dublin, Ireland. She has performed recitals abroad in Europe and Central America, and in the United States in Chicago, San Francisco, Denver and New York. She holds degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, the Eastman School of Music, and the University of Colorado at Boulder.
