As the 2016 college football season kicks off, country music superstar Brad Paisley, WVU Sports, and its multi-media partner, IMG, will be bringing Paisley’s show to West Virginia University to provide free entertainment for the Mountaineer campus community.

“The Country Nation College Tour presented by Frontier Communications” will roll into Morgantown for an on-campus show on Friday, Sept. 9 in the Brown Lot at the WVU College of Law. Additional event details will be announced at a later date.

Other College Tour dates include Orlando on Sept. 4 and The Ohio State University on Sept. 15. Additional university stops on the tour will be announced in the coming weeks.

More than 120,000 fans took advantage of Paisley’s inaugural free Country Nation College Tour concerts in 2015.

“We are delighted to have Brad Paisley come to campus as part of his tour,” says WVU President E. Gordon Gee. “He is a tremendous supporter of West Virginia University, as well as the state of West Virginia. We are extremely proud to welcome him home.”

Paisley’s “Country Nation” single from his chart-topping album, Moonshine in the Trunk, debuted in 2015. Written by Paisley and his longtime collaborators Chris DuBois and Kelley Lovelace, “Country Nation” is a celebration of the college spirit and America’s passion for sports that weaves-in a shout-out to 18 college sports mascots.

IMG, which serves more than 200 universities nationwide, is a division of WME | IMG, which also represents Paisley and brokered the college tour deal.

“Frontier is proud to support the Country Nation College Tour and bring one of West Virginia’s most talented performers back home to share his music with our state and West Virginia University,” said Kevin Wallick, Senior Vice President and General Manager of West Virginia.

Brad Paisley is a critically acclaimed singer, songwriter, guitarist and entertainer whose talents have earned him numerous awards, including three GRAMMYs, two American Music Awards, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards and 14 Country Music Association Awards (including Entertainer of the Year), among many others.
