Project Me: WVU Football player and dance major takes fancy footwork across disciplines to achieve his dreams

Ricky Rogers spent 15 years as a competitor in dance and football. His drive, passion and work ethic for both disciplines led him to WVU, where he has found a home as a Mountaineer.

Wide Receiver. Dance major. Big 12 Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll student. College of Creative Arts student Ricky Rogers has found a home for his hybrid of skill sets in football, performing arts and academics on the campus of West Virginia University. Now, as he receives the training necessary to perform and achieve from his coaches and professors, he’s thinking beyond his college years — and dreaming big in the process.

Rogers’ story is just one of many in which students at WVU have pursued their passions while studying at the University. You can read more about him and students like him at http://projectme.wvu.edu/.

If you know of a student who has a great story to tell, submit your suggestion for Project ME at http://projectme.wvu.edu/submit-your-story.
