West Virginia University fans can now vote for their favorite Ultimate Mountaineer Fan finalist, as the four finalists were selected and announced today (Aug. 26).

The finalists are: Derek Farley, a 1988 WVU journalism (public relations) graduate from Williamstown, West Virginia; Caroline Hanson, a 2012 WVU marketing graduate from Richmond, Virginia; Steven Saab, a 2015 WVU industrial engineering graduate from Morgantown, West Virginia; and Layne Veneri, a current WVU junior majoring in biology from Princeton, West Virginia.

Fans have the opportunity to cast one vote via Twitter and Facebook for their favorite finalist starting today (Aug. 26) through Sept. 3 at http://ultimatemountaineerfan.com.

The person with the most total votes will win an expenses-paid trip for two to Norman, Oklahoma for the WVU/Oklahoma football game on Oct. 3, which is also Mountaineer Nation Day. In addition, the winner will receive a $500 American Express gift card, have the chance to visit Top of the World, WVU’s No. 1 headwear licensee, and design their own WVU hat. The winner will share their experience with all of Mountaineer Nation on social media.

The winner will be announced on College Colors Day Sept. 4, a day before WVU opens the 2015 football season at home against Georgia Southern, on our @WestVirginiaU Twitter account.
