The violin and piano duo “Fa2,” comprised of Christian and Victoria Fatu, of Charleston, West Virginia, will perform a guest artist recital at the WVU Creative Arts Center Monday, April 27.

The performance begins at 8:15 p.m. in Bloch Learning and Performance Hall (200A) and is free and open to the public.

The program will include works by Debussy, Chopin, Khachaturian, Beethoven, Ravel and Sousa.

Christian Fatu, who is a member of the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, was born in Bucharest and is recognized as one of today’s most exciting young violinists. He has presented numerous solo recitals for audiences in Austria, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Hungary, Italy, Tunis, Israel, Japan and the United States and has won over 25 prizes in various international competitions.

Pianist Victoria Fatu-Martirosyan, a native of Azerbaijan, currently teaches at West Virginia State University. She has performed in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, China, Switzerland, Netherlands, Russia, and Denmark, and has also had a career as a jazz singer.
