Heavy rain and melting snow is causing extensive flooding across West Virginia while the state’s citizens also brace for severe winter weather. Several West Virginia University experts are available to provide commentary and advice that will help the state’s citizens protect themselves, their homes and their businesses.
They include:

Bonanno provided advice on flooding last year. He can be reached at 304.293.8676 or SCBonanno@mail.wvu.edu.
- Nicolas Zegre, assistant professor in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design, studies the specific causes of flooding related to forest and catchment hydrology. He can be reached at 304.293.0049 or nicolas.zegre@mail.wvu.edu.
- J. Steven Kite is chair of the Department of Geology and Geography in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences. He can be reached at steve.kite@mail.wvu.edu.
