The West Virginia University Student Government Association will be offering a $1,000 “Catalyst of Campus Change Scholarship” to one or more students in recognition of their dedication and determination to seeing the University grow for the benefit of the student body.

Applicants will be required to propose a project resolving a student issue on campus, creating a philanthropic initiative and/or campaign, or anything else that the applicant can thoroughly justify as necessary for campus change.

Eligible applicants must have completed at least one full semester at WVU, be in good academic standing, and enrolled at WVU at the beginning of the next academic year.

A representative panel of members from Student Government Association, the WVU Division of Student Life, Student Activities, and other faculty/students will review the applications and select the top applicants. The top applicants will present their project proposals to the Student Government Association’s Board of Governors for reviewing and questioning. The Board of Governors will vote on the recipient(s) of the scholarship.

The recipient of the scholarship will be announced at the Student Government Association Inauguration in April 2015. The scholarship will be applied and divided, between the fall 2015 semester and spring 2016 semester at West Virginia University.

The scholarship application forms will be made available today (Jan.12) and must be completed and returned by 4 p.m. Feb. 13. Students can find the application form at http://sga.wvu.edu/documents.
