2014 marked the return of a certain quirky, bow-tie aficionado. So what better way to kick off 2015 than with our enthusiastic president, E. Gordon Gee, offering his Top 10 "gems" of 2014?

2014 marked the return of a certain quirky, bow-tie aficionado.

So what better way to kick off 2015 than with our enthusiastic president, E. Gordon Gee, offering his Top 10 “gems” of 2014?

In addition to his return to West Virginia University, Gee reflects on a year that saw ESPN College Game Day descend upon Morgantown, a 55-county tour of our great state and the beginning of a culture change on our campus and in the community.

“As with every year, it had highs and lows,” Gee said. “This year, I want to make sure that we learn from our lows and extend upon our highs to make our University an even better place to learn, work, live – and have fun.

“Coming back was a calling. I have a deep affection for this institution and for this state. So, on my one-year anniversary back at West Virginia University, I want to thank you for your continued confidence and support.”
