West Virginia University jazz musicians will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 6, in the Gladys G. Davis Theatre of the Creative Arts Center.

Directed by Paul Scea, along with students Craig Fraedrich and John Posey, the concert will feature five of the jazz program’s small jazz ensembles. These include a group that features the mandolin, and a big band.

According to Scea, who is director of Jazz Studies at WVU, they will play everything from the big band music of Count Basie, to Pat Metheny and Stevie Wonder.

As always, a large number of student compositions will be featured on the program.
