West Virginia University Reed College of Media’s online Integrated Marketing Communications graduate program will host an open house to give attendees a chance to catch a glimpse of life as a student in the College’s unique program.

The open house, scheduled for Oct. 8, will be divided into two parts. It will start with a student and graduate panel from 6–7 p.m., and conclude with an open networking session from 7–8 p.m. All activities will be on the second floor of Martin Hall in the College’s new Media Innovation Lab.

During the student panel, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from and ask questions of both current Integrated Marketing Communications students and graduates. Panelists include: IMC student Sarah Howdershelt, promotions director at West Virginia Radio Corporation; IMC graduate Nicole Riggleman, director of development for WVU’s Alumni Association; IMC graduate Eric Minor, director of student careers and opportunities at the WVU Reed College of Media; and IMC student Colin Haas, analyst at CONSOL Energy.

“While our graduate program offers the convenience of being exclusively online, we still believe it’s important for prospective students to meet our IMC students, graduates, faculty and staff face-to-face,” said Chad Mezera, director of online programs at the College of Media. “Come meet our team, learn more about what life is like as a WVU IMC student and network with some incredible local communications professionals.”

To RSVP for the IMC graduate program open house, visit http://imc.wvu.edu/open-house. There is no cost for the event and it is open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.

The WVU IMC program was the first online IMC graduate program in the nation. The IMC program has more than 400 active students enrolled, including many WVU graduates and current WVU employees, from 47 states and five foreign countries, as well as more than 600 graduates.
