Online auction benefits scholarship fund

Sports memorabilia, celebrity autographed items and concert tickets are just a few of the hot items available for auction as part of the association’s Gold & Blue Auction, which runs now through August 3.

All proceeds from the auction benefit the Loyalty Permanent Endowment Fund. For more than 75 years, the fund has funded scholarships for more than 4,000 students to attend WVU. Since its inception, the fund has distributed more than $5 million in scholarships to deserving students.

The Loyalty Permanent Endowment Fund is funded completely by private donations and contributes to the WVU Scholars Program.

This year’s auction features autographed mini helmets and other memorabilia signed by current and former NFL players, including Tavon Austin, Sam Huff, and Will Clarke; “Legends” packages with Huff and Major Harris; throwback Jerry West signed jersey; and other celebrity items.
