The national tour of the ultimate celebration of women and the change comes to the West Virginia University Creative Arts Center Tuesday, March 25. Showtime for Menopause The Musical is set for 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at the Mountainlair and CAC box offices, ticketmaster.com and by phone at 304-293-SHOW and 800-745-3000.

Set in a department store, this hilarious production follows four women with seemingly nothing in common but a black lace bra meeting by chance at a lingerie sale. The all-female cast makes fun of their woeful hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles, night sweats and chocolate binges. A sisterhood is created between these diverse women as they realize that menopause is no longer “The Silent Passage.” It is a stage in every woman’s life that is perfectly normal. The Baltimore Times Herald calls the performance “hilarious, good fun and the perfect destination for a girls’ treat out!”

Menopause The Musical recently celebrated its 3,000th performance and was named the longest-running scripted production in Las Vegas. The hilarious musical has entertained audiences across the country in more than 450 U.S. cities, nearly 300 international cities and a total of 15 countries.

A musical parody, Menopause The Musical is set to classic tunes from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s and will have you cheering and dancing in the aisles. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel raves, “Those estrogen-deprived lyrics?they bring down the house repeatedly. At its core, it’s a gentle-spirited celebration of real women, their friendships and the rough seas they’re forced to navigate as they enter the dreaded territory of middle age.” See what millions of women worldwide have been laughing about for more than 10 years!

Tickets for the March 25th show range from $44 to $60, depending on seat location and availability. Student tickets are available for $28 with a valid WVU ID at the campus box offices (one discounted ticket per valid ID). Tickets are on sale now at the Mountainlair and Creative Arts Center box offices, online at ticketmaster.com, or by calling 304-293-SHOW and 800-745-3000.
