Viola students from the studio of Andrea Priester Houde in the West Virginia University School of Music will perform a recital Friday, Dec. 6, at the Creative Arts Center.

The program begins at 6 p.m. in the Bloch Learning and Performance Hall (Room 200A) and is free and open to the public.

The program will include: “Kol Nidre” by Max Bruch (1838-1920), with violist Abby Jones; “Morpheus” by Rebecca Clarke (1886-1979) with violist Angela-Maureen Nagem; “Passion Confession” by Peter Ilyich Tchiakovsky (1840-1893) with violist Eleanor Aban; “Sonata in G minor” by Henry Eccles (1670-1742) with violist Sarah Mills; “Passacaglia” by Rebecca Clarke (1886-1979) with violist Alexis Trbovich; “Fairy Tales, op. 113) by Robert Schumann (1810-1856) with violist Jessica Seese; “Suite No. 3” by J.S. Bach (1685-1750) with violist Lauren McDaniel; and “Concerto in E minor, op. 85” by Edward Elgar (1857-1934) with violist Kiefer Kirk.

Pianists accompanying the violists will be students Maria Crystalia and Joyce Wang.
