A strong-armed robbery occurred near West Virginia University’s Downtown Campus (Unity Manor off Willey Street) late Tuesday night (Sept. 24), Morgantown Police said.

A white male, approximately 5-foot-8 with short blonde hair, scraggly facial hair and wearing a black hoodie, stole a woman’s purse. The subject fled on foot.

The victim was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital as a result of her injuries.
