Anyone seeking to grow in development of a higher consciousness will have the chance to hear and learn how to do so at the New Beginning seminar held at West Virginia University 27-28.
The seminar is part of a series from One World Academy (OWA), a holistic well-being organization based in South India. It will be led by Anandagiri, a senior faculty member of OWA who has more than 23 years of experience addressing audiences on six continents. Recently, Anandagiri has been welcomed at the prestigious Aspen Institute and Harvard University’s 2013 Leadership conference.
“Anandagiri’s presentation was transformative and impactful, to the point where a few audience members came up to me in tears and thanked me for inviting Ananda to be a speaker at our conference,” said Krishan Arora, president of the Harvard University Extension Student Association and chair of the 2013 Harvard Leadership Conference. “Anandagiri’s presentation on resolving internal-conflicts, along with his innovative explanation of being more ‘self-aware’, was one of the top presentations of the event.”
College of Education and Human Services professor Pat Obenauf has been coordinating the WVU event with OWA. Obenauf has incorporated OWA processes and ideals in her teaching and believes they give faculty another way to view life and work with students, and students with faculty. The same is true for counselors, parents, care-givers, health professionals and others.
“This seminar encourages a new way of living life and a different way of inquiring into self,” said Obenauf. “By becoming aware of presence in self and with others, not only will you improve aspects of your own life, you will also enrich the lives of others.”
