The West Virginia University Division of Student Affairs Senior Year Experience is aiming to bring the student body a fun-filled night of baseball. On Friday (April 19), three buses will leave the WVU Coliseum at 4 p.m. for PNC Park to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates take on the Atlanta Braves.

The Senior Year Experience has partnered with Dr. Ivan Pinnell’s public relations capstone class to sponsor this event. For $30, students will enjoy transportation to PNC Park, a ticket for admission, a $5 food voucher and a Roberto Clemente commemorative gift. This will be the seventh year that Senior Year Experience has sponsored buses to see a Pirates game.

Senior Year Experience focuses on the personal, career and academic growth of seniors while creating an environment that is optimal for learning, growing and graduating. Some other Senior Year Experience programs and events include The Senior Send-Off: A Zero-Year Reunion (April 25, 5 p.m. at the Erickson Alumni Center), the Graduation One-Stop Shop and the Mountaineer Mark Class Gift.

“In partnership with our university colleagues, the WVU Senior Year Experience enhances the total experience of seniors inside and outside of the classroom including career events, academic programs, and social activities throughout the year,” said Vice President for WVU Student Affairs Ken Gray. “These activities and programs help to prepare seniors for graduation and bring closure to their time here at WVU. The Senior Year Experience activities also provide seniors with a chance to make lasting memories during their final year as an undergraduate at WVU.”
