West Virginia University’s Public Relations Student Society of America is hosting a Bachelor/Bachelorette fundraiser to benefit the WVU Relay for Life on Friday, March 15 starting at 7:30 p.m. at Rock Top Bar & Grill.

There will be a silent date auction during which participants can bid on 16 local Greek-life students to win a dinner for two courtesy of Outback Steakhouse, Oliverio’s Marketplace, Fujiyama and others.

Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. with the silent date auction beginning at 8:30 p.m. The results will be announced at 10 p.m. There will also be themed drink specials throughout the night for those who are 21 years of age or older. Those under 21 will be asked to leave at 11 p.m.

Several raffle opportunities will also be presented throughout the night courtesy of M Salon and Hollywood Theaters. All the profits from this event, including the $5 cover fee, will go directly to The American Cancer Society.

“I’m really excited for the fundraiser,” said Rima Cario, a member of the PRSSA fundraising committee who helped coordinate the event. “I think it’s going to be a great opportunity for PRSSA to raise money in a fun way that will get the whole town and campus involved.”
