WVUp All Night, West Virginia University’s on-campus late-night program, is expanding to the Evansdale Campus.

Beginning on March 8-9, the Residence Hall Association will debut WVUp All Night Extended at the Student Recreation Center.

The program will offer students the same fun, safe and exciting activities as the Mountainlair program. This new location will allow students who live on the Evansdale Campus to access the activities and events easier.

WVUp All Night Extended will start at 7 p.m. and end at 11 p.m. Food will be served from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. On March 8-9, students will have a chance to play laser tag, which will be set up on the Student Rec Center’s basketball courts.

“RHA is excited about being given the opportunity to take WVUp All Night to the Evansdale Campus,” said Walter Hardy, RHA president. “Our goal is to provide the same entertainment as the original WVUp All Night. This will hopefully give students who don’t wish to travel from campus to campus on the weekends more options.”

WVUp All Night Extended will not be held every weekend, but advisor Sonja Wilson said it’s the hope that one day the Evansdale program will occur on a more regular basis. The Downtown WVUp All Night will still operate as scheduled.

WVUp All Night was developed in 1998 to offer alternatives to Morgantown’s late night social scene. Read more about the history of WVUp All Night at http://wvutoday.wvu.edu/n/2011/10/06/13-years-later-wvup-all-night-still-provides-students-with-an-innovative-alternative.
