Dining out can be fun, but what if you’re sitting across from a person who could change the course of your professional life?

The Davis-Michael Scholars Program of Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design at West Virginia University will host a business etiquette seminar dinner, “The Art of the Meal,” at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Waterfront Place Hotel in Morgantown.

This seminar is intended to help pre-veterinary and other students prepare for veterinary, medical, graduate school and job interviews. Speakers will discuss professional style, polish and “The Art of the Meal.” The seminar will include a four-course dinner.

Featured speakers will be Susan Lawrence, international image consultant with Class Advantage, Inc., and Susan Robison, assistant director of the Center for Career Development in WVU’s College of Business and Economics.

Lawrence has worked with more than 10,000 individuals from business, industry, government, and education to help them gain a competitive edge through enhanced appearance and behavior. She is a member of the Association of Image Consultants International.

In addition to managing the on-campus recruiting and internship programs in the Center for Career Development, Robison teaches professional development classes and has created many successful job search programs and seminars. She consults with placement services statewide on developing internship and recruitment programs.

Tickets for the seminar and dinner are $15 for WVU students and $20 for guests and can be purchased from the Davis-Michael Scholars Program. Space is limited, and the deadline for registration is Wednesday, Oct. 31. For additional information or to reserve a ticket, please contact Tammy Blake at 304-293-1951 or davismichael@mail.wvu.edu.

Professional business attire is required.
