The West Virginia University Choral Program will present an Organ & Choir Concert at 3:15 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 28 in the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre at the Creative Arts Center.

The choirs will be conducted by Timothy Campbell, interim director of choral activities, and the performance will also feature the WVU Community Choir, the Women’s Chorale and the University Singers.

According to Campbell, the program features a broad range of exciting repertoire for voices, including baroque gems by G.F. Handel and Henry Purcell, contemporary works by Eric Whitacre and Ola Gjeilo, American spirituals and folk songs and selections from Carl Orff’s monumental “Carmina Burana.”

In addition to several student soloists and instrumentalists, Dr. William Haller and student Sora Lee will be featured as pianists, and student Arthur Amorim will accompany on the piano and harpsichord.
