The Duck Tape Company is challenging the West Virginia University chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America to host the nation’s best WVU Duck Tape themed tailgate.

PRSSA will be hosting a Duckbrand Challenge tailgate for students prior to the TCU football game on Nov. 3. The tailgate will be located in the Blue Lot near the Eye Care Center at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

“We already know that WVU has some of the best fans in the nation,” said PRSSA president Brittany Lavenski. “This competition just gives us a chance to prove it.”

There will be games, raffles for prizes, food, refreshments and an appearance by Mountaineer Mascot Jonathan Kimble at the tailgate.

The Duckbrand Challenge is a nationwide competition for all PRSSA chapters. The winning chapter receives $1,000 and all participating chapters make $250. If WVU was to win, the $1,000 would go toward supporting its chapter of PRSSA.

The judging criteria are as follows: accurate brand representation, execution of tailgate, on-campus media coverage, development of a public relations plan and a post-challenge report.

Adding to its collection of collegiate themed tape, the Duck Tape Company has recently released its WVU line of blue and gold duck tape.
