Neil Berch, associate professor of political science at West Virginia University and coach of the University’s award-winning debate team, is available to provide commentary and perspective on Tuesday evening’s presidential debate President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Gov. Mitt Romney.

The second presidential debate will take the form of a town meeting, in which citizens will ask questions on foreign and domestic issues. The participants will be undecided voters selected by the Gallup Organization. It is being held at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y. It will be moderated by Catherine Crowley, CNN’s chief political correspondent.

Berch teaches courses in state and local politics, economic policy and economic models of politics. His articles have appeared in American Politics Quarterly, Political Research Quarterly and Southeastern Political Science Review.

He has served as coach of the University ’s nationally ranked debate team since 1997.
