West Virginia University’s Career Services Center is bringing approximately 75 regional and national employers to campus as part of the WVU Career Fair.

The fair, which is open to all majors and all levels of students and features not only entry-level jobs but internship opportunities as well, takes place on Thursday (Sept. 20) form 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.

Students will have the opportunity to speak and interview with companies like AT&T, Bechtel, PepsiCo, Macy’s, Mylan, FBI, PNC Bank, Volvo, WVU Healthcare, Prudential and U.S. Steel, among other private and public companies, non-profits, government agencies and civilian and non-civilian military.

Students can learn more about the participating employers by searching “Career Fairs and Events” on their MountaineerTRAK account.

Students interested in attending and interviewing at the WVU Career Fair should do the following:

  • Dress appropriately and professionally
  • Bring several copies of their resumes
  • Follow through when instructed to apply or submit a resume online

The Career Services Center will host hour-long seminars in its office in the Mountainlair on “How to Work a Career Fair” on Thursday (Sept. 13) at 2 p.m., Monday (Sept. 17) at 2:30 p.m. and Tuesday (Sept. 18) at 3 p.m. to prepare students for the fair.

Students can also participate in a Resume Critiquing Booth. Counselors will be stationed in the Mountainlair on Monday (Sept. 17) and Wednesday (Sept. 19) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to review student resumes and answer any other related questions prior to the Career Fair.

The WVU Career Fair is sponsored by Mylan, Aldi, TEKSystems, United Summit Center, WVU Research Corp and TeleTech.
