It’s hard to leave behind everything you’ve known for your first 18 years. Then again, it’s pretty easy to say hello to what many call the “greatest four years of your life.”

Leaving home for college can be an emotional journey. There’s that feeling in the pit of your stomach when you reach the outskirts of your hometown with a packed car and realize there’s no turning back.

Or, how about coming here from out-of-state, and seeing the “Welcome to West Virginia” sign for the first time and suddenly realizing your new life starts in minutes?

Experience that journey of saying goodbye to family and friends from home, moving into the residence halls and attending that first class through the eyes and hearts of our newest Mountaineers – their tweets, their pics, their posts from their first week at WVU:
