It’s baseball season, and West Virginia University students, faculty and staff are invited to watch as the Pittsburgh Pirates take on the Chicago Cubs at PNC Park on July 23.

Sponsored by the Mountainlair, “WVU Night at PNC Park” is offered to students at $20 and to faculty, staff, guests and community members at $30. The fee includes a game ticket, round trip passage on the WVU charter bus and a $10 value that can be redeemed for concessions and merchandise inside the stadium.

The bus will depart to Pittsburgh from the Coliseum at 4 p.m. for a 7:05 p.m. game start.

“This is the Mountainlair’s first year of offering summer programming,” said Erin Blake, special events coordinator for the Mountainlair. “There are a lot of students taking summer classes, and we wanted to host some fun activities for them. Nothing goes better with summer than baseball, and this is a way to get students up to Pittsburgh that might not normally have the opportunity.”

There are a total of 50 tickets available for the event, and they are offered on a first come, first serve basis. The registration deadline is July 16.

To register for the event, contact Blake at 304-293-2702 or Erin.Blake@mail.wvu.edu.
