Two West Virginia University student organizations want to give you a taste of dishes less “tame” than beef, pork and chicken at the 20th Annual Wild Game Dinner.

Hosted by the WVU student chapters of the American Fisheries and Wildlife societies, the dinner will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sat., April 21, at the Clinton District Volunteer Fire Station.

“This dinner is the biggest fundraiser of the year for our organizations,” said Lee Yost, a wildlife and fisheries resources major and president of the Student Chapter of the American Fisheries Society. “The money raised is used to support general club activities and to generate funding to send students to state and national meetings where they can network and learn what is happening across the nation in their potential career fields.”

In addition to wild game dishes, the event will feature live music by Dan Cunningham, a silent auction and raffle for prizes donated by local businesses.

Tickets for the dinner are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Children five years old and younger eat for free. Tickets can be purchased in advance by contacting Yost at 304-276-5763 or lyost4@mix.wvu.edu.
