A high-pressure gas line break near West Virginia University Healthcare’s Chestnut Ridge Center and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health briefly closed access roads in the immediate area Wednesday (March 21), University officials say.

WVU Police say workers cut the two-inch line while they were working on a drainage problem near the intersection of service roads near the buildings. No injuries were reported and no evacuations were required. The gas was quickly cut off and the roads were reopened after about a 20-minute closure.
