If you want to see where the world is going, follow West Virginia University.

Follow Katherine Bomkamp, a sophomore political science major, who at the age of 16 developed the “pain free socket,” a prosthetic to eliminate phantom pain in amputees.

Follow Caroline Larsson, a December 2011 graduate in international studies, who found her way from her home country of Sweden to WVU and now calls Morgantown her second home.

Follow Tina Dow, a doctoral student in reproductive physiology, who researches the causes of infertility in female elephants.

Follow Jason Bailey, a senior international studies and political science major, who as student body president represented WVU in Moscow at a young leader’s conference.

Follow Kevin Jones, a senior multidisciplinary studies major, who chose to earn his degree over an early career in the NBA.

As the University’s women’s and men’s basketball teams head to Connecticut and New York City for their respective Big East championship tournaments, WVU will be sharing the stories of some of its students who change the world every day.

A 30-second video entitled Follow WVU will air in New York City on the 16-x-20 foot digital billboard on Macy’s department store at the corner of 34th Street and 7th Avenue (across from Penn Station), on a CBS Spectacular digital billboard in Times Square and on game boards at Madison Square Garden. This is the third straight year WVU has utilized the massive display boards in New York to help tell the world about the University.

At the women’s tournament in Hartford, the spot will air on the video boards at the XL Center.

As the Mountaineers head to the postseason, all it takes is 30 seconds or a touch of a button to truly “Follow WVU” in its efforts to change the world.

The men’s Big East tournament begins March 6 in New York City, and the women’s tournament starts March 2 in Hartford, Conn.
