West Virginia University’s Mountaineer Week Health and Wellness Expo will take place on Tuesday (Nov. 1) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Mountainlair.

The annual Health and Wellness Expo promotes proper health and lifestyle choices to students through various information booths and activities.

During the Expo, flu shots will be administered for $15 to students and $25 to faculty. The Condom Caravan will also be available to students as well as free massages in the Vandalia Lounge courtesy of WELLWVU.

“The massage chairs will allow students to take a break and relax from the stress of classes,” said Jenna Hardy, co-vice chair of Mountaineer Week. “Being able to get the flu shots will allow both the faculty and students to prepare for the winter season.”

Students who participate in the Health and Wellness Expo will be registered in a raffle to win a fitness gift basket. The top prize from the basket is a free trip to Wisp Ski Resort.

Mountaineer Week is an annual celebration of West Virginia’s rich Appalachian heritage and traditions. The activities serve to remind and educate WVU students about the culture that has made West Virginia what it is today. This fall, the festival commemorates its 64th year.
