West Virginia University’s billiards club will hold its fourth annual Black Powder Shootout as part of Mountaineer Week festivities.

The tournament is a singles, eight-ball tournament with double elimination. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three participants. It will take place in the Mountainlair games area on Saturday (Oct. 29).

To register, email WVUbilliardsClub@gmail.com. The registration fee is $10 and will be collected on the day of the tournament. Participants should arrive by noon to register and warm-up.

Mountaineer Week is an annual celebration of West Virginia’s rich Appalachian heritage and traditions. The activities serve to remind and educate WVU students about the culture that has made West Virginia what it is today. This fall, the festival commemorates its 64th year.
