The West Virginia University women’s club lacrosse team will host the first Almost Heaven Tournament Saturday (Oct. 22) at Mylan Park.

The tournament will mark the team’s first games played on the new turf field, constructed as part of an $8.4 million upgrade of student recreation facilities.

WVU will host the lacrosse clubs of Ohio State University and Penn State University. Competition begins at 11 a.m. with a match between WVU and Ohio State. At 12:30 p.m., Ohio State will face Penn State. At 2 p.m., Penn State and WVU will play each other.

Admission to the event is free. T-shirts and concessions will be available for purchase. All proceeds will benefit the WVU women’s club lacrosse team.
