A free webinar supported by West Virginia on the Move, Inc., West Virginia University’s College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, and the WV CARDIAC Project will inform participants about the next steps for a state-wide plan to promote physical activity.

The West Virginia Physical Activity Plan webinar, a follow up to last year’s West Virginia Physical Activity Symposium, is Wednesday, June 22, from 2-3 p.m. Pre-registration is recommended; registration information can be found at www.wvphysicalactivity.org Audio will be made available through computer or call: 1-408-600-3600 with the code: 662740514. It is open to all West Virginians from both the public and private sectors.

“We want to help create a shared vision for a physically active state,” said Dr. Eloise Elliott, Ware Distinguished Professor at CPASS. “All sectors are needed, from health care providers coordinating services to transportation professionals overcoming built environmental obstacles.”

The webinar will showcase activities since the 2010 Symposium, which focused on building awareness and support for a statewide strategic plan for physical activity.
