Three people, including two West Virginia University Police officers, were injured late Tuesday in a collision at the intersection of University Avenue and Patteson Drive.

The officers were responding to an emergency, University Police Chief Bob Roberts said. “They were using Code 3: blue lights and siren. They entered the intersection and there was an accident.”

The two officers were treated at Ruby Memorial Hospital and released; the driver of the other car was still being treated Wednesday morning.

Roberts said Morgantown Police Department is investigating the accident.
