West Virginia University’s Brown Bag Lunch Film and Discussion Series will show the film “Offside” on Thursday (March 3).

The film, a comedy by Jafar Panahi, is about the attempt of a group of Iranian girls to integrate the national men’s soccer team to help them qualify for the World Cup. It will be shown from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Gluck Theatre of the Mountainlair.

The film will be presented by Hossein Radmard, former president of the Iranian Student Association and doctoral candidate, on the occasion of Women’s History Month.

The event is free and open to the public. Pizza will be served on a first come, first served basis. The event is sponsored by the WVU Office of Student Life- Office of Multicultural Programs.
