West Virginia University students are invited to an evening of hors d’oeuvres, desserts and poetry on Wednesday, Feb. 16.

“Love Poetry,” presented by Associate Vice President for International and Global Outreach David Stewart, will be held as part of WVU’s Faculty Dinner Series at 6 p.m. in Elizabeth Moore Hall.

Stewart, a native of Peterborough, England, received his doctorate in English from the University of Oxford. He came to WVU in 1991 as an assistant professor of English, teaching British literature, with a specialty in English Romanticism and the work of poet William Blake.

The free program is open to all WVU students.

The first 40 students to RSVP to Paige Nicholas at pnichol1@mix.wvu.edu will be admitted into the event. Students can bring a guest, but must let Nicholas know when they respond.

The presentation is sponsored by WVU Student Affairs Sophomore/Junior Year Experience initiative.
