Country music superstar and six-time Grammy nominee Miranda Lambert will bring her “Revolution Continues” tour, featuring Justin Moore and Josh Kelley, to the West Virginia University Coliseum on Sunday, March 27 at 7 p.m.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 18 at 9 a.m. at the Mountainlair [Snippet Error: Invalid ID. Try editing the snippet again.] and Creative Arts Center box offices, ticketmaster.com and by phone at 304-293-SHOW.
On the heels of a whirlwind year, Lambert began 2011 with a bang, hauling in seven Academy of Country Music award nominations, including Entertainer of the Year, Top Female Vocalist and Song and Single of the Year. She also reeled in five Grammy Award nominations and will be a featured performer at the 53rd Annual ceremony on Feb. 13.
Lambert, a Texas native who has been commended for writing most of her own music, has been noted for her take-no-prisoners approach on such defiantly in-your-face songs as “Kerosene,” “Gunpowder & Lead” and “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.” Her latest album, “Revolution,” yielded her highest charting singles to date – “White Liar” and “The House That Built Me.”
After dominating the Country Music Association Awards last fall, Lambert earned high praise from country icon Loretta Lynn who claimed, “Nobody in country music is more country than Miranda.” Lambert and Sheryl Crow paid tribute to Lynn’s career in a CMA performance.
With a new tour and a new record in the works, it seems that no one can slow down this sizzling country star.
Joining Lambert on the Revolution Continues tour is country upstart Justin Moore and singer-songwriter Josh Kelley. Country up-and-comer Justin Moore has scored four Top 40 singles on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, including “Small Town USA,” “Backwoods” and “How I Got To Be This Way.” The singer-songwriter from Arkansas has toured alongside mega-star Brad Paisley and is currently recording a new album.
Josh Kelley found success early in his career with the hit songs “Amazing” and “Only You.” He recently debuted his first country single “Georgia Clay,” which has already landed in the Top 40 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. His new album will be released in March.
