Beloved by children worldwide, Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends are making tracks to Morgantown in a spectacular return to the WVU Creative Arts Center. Thomas & Friends Live! On Stage in “Thomas Saves the Day” will be performed on Tuesday, March 1 for two shows – 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 9 a.m. at the Mountainlair Box Office, ticketmaster.com and by phone at 304-293-SHOW.

Thomas & Friends Live! On Stage tells the story of the affable engine friends as they prepare for the Island of Sodor’s Lantern Festival. When a big storm rolls into town and threatens to derail the celebration, Thomas and his friends—Percy, Diesel and others—must find a way to save the day. Through discovery, friendship and cooperation, Thomas encounters adventures and learns important life lessons along the way.

This 90-minute live musical adventure is based on the stories of the famed Thomas & Friends brand that has been enjoyed by millions of children in the popular television series, home video programs, books and a complete line of preschool toys. The live stage show offers enthusiasts and their families an exciting and fresh new way to experience everyone’s beloved train.
