The West Virginia University Chamber Winds, featuring some of the finest student musicians at the University, will perform a concert at the Creative Arts Center, Tuesday (Dec. 7), at 7:30 p.m. in the Gladys G. Davis Theatre.

The event is free and open to the public.

Conducted by music faculty member John Weigand, the Chamber Winds will perform a program that includes Malcolm Forsyth’s “Fanfare and Three Masquerades for solo horn and winds,” featuring doctoral horn student Joseph Johnson as the soloist. Johnson is a student of Dr. Virginia Thompson.

The concert opens with two “Slavonic Dances” of Dvorak, arranged for nine winds.
